We’ve joined the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR)!

Earlier this year, Exo Engineering had the pleasure of joining the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR). Exo Engineering are proud to be part of the offshore wind sector, supplying low carbon, Nature-Inclusive solutions for a range of offshore wind applications including Nature-Inclusive scour protection systems and artificial reefs.

EEEGR is a non-profit trade body based in the East of England and supports over 200 members across the energy supply chain throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. They act as a central hub to support, connect, and lobby for regional energy businesses across a range of energy sectors including offshore wind, oil & gas, hydrogen, and nuclear.

Members of EEEGR receive support in a variety of ways, including through regular networking events, with programs such as the Skills for Energy (SfE) seeking to collaborate with educational providers to support skilled workers for the regions energy sector.

On the 25th of March, we attended our first ever EEEGR event titled “Unlocking the Seabed: Pioneering Offshore Innovations in the East” and hosted by the Marine Science & Technology Sector Council. Managing Director of Exo Engineering, William Coulet, introduced Exo Engineering to businesses across the region by delivering a presentation on the results of our ground-breaking Living Windfarms Project, and the benefits of Nature-Inclusive design for biodiversity.

Many other innovative companies also shared updates about their latest projects focussing on reducing the environmental impacts of energy production on our shared marine areas.

There are many more EEEGR events on the horizon, and we look forward to building connections with other companies in the East of England to support the renewable energy transition.

If you’d like to learn more about how Nature-Inclusive design could fit within your offshore project, please get in touch.
