Subtidal Solutions

Our seas and oceans support a diverse range of activities from renewable energy to fishing, navigation, and tourism! With growing environmental consciousness and new legislation being introduced, industries that operate within our oceans are striving to protect and conserve it.

Our subtidal products are ecologically engineered to deliver effective erosion protection whilst yielding biodiversity gain, enabling our clients to adhere to regulations and making our products superior to traditional methods such as granite rock and concrete armour.

    Offshore Eco-Engineering

Offshore industries have widely accepted that new installations should integrate designs, materials and methods that mitigate damage to the site. This has generated a demand for innovation, with specific focus on how biodiversity gain can be successfully achieved. Thankfully, this is the area we thrive in!

Scour protection for offshore structures represents an opportunity to include nature into design. Traditional rock scour can be replaced with our eco-concrete products, which integrate our technologies to make them more environmentally beneficial. Such benefits include the provision of habitats for declining hard substrate species, whilst offering scour protection to subsea structures.

    Supporting Sustainable Aquaculture

Exo Engineering is eager to help developing aqua and alga farms negate their environmental impacts through the use of our biodiversity enhancing products. Our innovative designs are paired with tried-and-true concepts which improve the condition of marine ecosystems and encourage sustainable commercial farming practices.

Our eco-engineered products can encourage habitat restoration in areas of depleted hard substrate habitats by simulating ecological communities, without the need to import or captive breed declining species. This restoration will improve the health of marine ecosystems, strengthen resilience and increasing food security
