Spotlight 2023

On the 12th of December 2023, Exo Engineering attended the Spotlight event in Edinburgh. The event shone a spotlight on businesses and innovators in the offshore renewables supply chain, through a day comprised of panel discussions and break-out rooms, in between networking time to view exhibitors’ stalls.

We attended with OWGP and were part of the demonstrator room alongside other engineering companies. To explain how we create artificial reef using our products, we brought along two sizes of our ExoHedron and a range of our innovative textures which were displayed at our stand.

Talking to developers during the Ocean Winds break-out session was incredibly valuable to understand their stance on the growing importance of artificial reef concepts in upcoming offshore wind projects in both international and UK markets. The panel discussions and Q&As focussed on technical supply chain issues and innovations, and how the UK is posed to take advantage of exciting opportunities throughout the Offshore Renewables sector in coming years. Exo’s Will Melhuish had the opportunity to film a short interview for the event’s marketing team, explaining who we are and what our products do.

The event was a highly valuable in encouraging new collaborations and knowledge sharing throughout the supply chain. We would like to thank the events team who were incredibly helpful and attentive, as well as all the panel members and chairs who made an incredible event!
